FAQ
1Do I really need a vocal coach? There is all this online content I can follow for free, why would I pay for sessions?
There is a lot of amazing content out there and I absolutely encourage you to watch it and expand your knowledge! I am also posting free weekly content to my followers on social media. However, when you work on your own without constructive feedback and someone with professional experience to guide you and make sure you’re properly executing what is being explained to you, your progress will not only be a lot slower but you may also be doing some of this stuff incorrectly and even causing damage to your voice.
Also, we’re social beings, having vocal lessons can be a lot more fun and inspiring than just doing stuff solo. :)
2How often should I have vocal lessons?
That is entirely up to you! Depending on your goals and your schedule, optimal dynamic for sessions would be 1-2x times a week, but you are welcome to take as many as you are comfortable with.
3Can anyone become a singer?
Providing you are able to speak and have working vocal cords, the answer is - yes! On a basic level, absolutely anyone can learn to sing. Your progress will however depend on your passion for music, commitment and dedication.
4What if I don't have talent, can I still become a singer?
While natural talent can be an advantage, hard work and consistent practice are equally crucial for becoming a successful singer. Many singers develop their skills through training and perseverance, even if they didn't start with innate talent.
5Is there an age limit?
I train voices aged from 13 years old and up. As long as you are not too old to still be able to speak, you are young enough to start learning to sing! :)
6I am a classically trained singer, and I would like to learn pop style, but I heard classical is the most healthy singing technique, how do I sing pop technique without damaging my voice?
There is a very common idea that classical is the foundation for healthy singing, and as I do believe it can be beneficial, it can not teach you the proper voice placement that it takes to sing modern styles, techniques like belting, use of your falsetto, and diction it takes to sing contemporary music. However, I do believe cross training can be an awesome move so I encourage learning multiple techniques and finding what works best for you. The technique I teach is a technique that will absolutely not damage your voice as it teaches you to produce the sound as naturally as you are speaking.
7What do I need for my first lesson?
Your computer or your phone, good vibes, a glass of water beside you and a song you like that makes you feel good when you sing it!
8Do you also teach in person?
Yes! When I am in your city we can absolutely do sessions in person. I am also available for studio work bookings, if you are working on recording a single or an album, I can help you bring out the best out of your vocal performance.
